Chichén Itzá, a pre-Colombian city built by the Mayan people, is one of the most famous archaeological sites in all of Mexico. It was the largest city in Mexico during its time and is believed to be one of the mythical Great Cities often referred to in Mesoamerican literature.
The classic Mesoamerican and Mayan influence is still clear in the structures today. This full-day trip will be a great way to explore and learn more about the history of Mexico during your trip.
